2019 – Group Archery Competition

18 November 2019

Over the weekend of 16/17th November, the Group held it’s annual Archery Competition.

On Saturday Morning 20 Beaver Scouts competed for the coveted ‘Yellow Necker’ Archery Champion Scarf.  Congratulations go to Justice Bright, whose top two rounds totalled 15, for being this years Beaver Scout Champion.

Saturday afternoon saw 24 Cubs Scouts competing and this years Cub Scout Archery Champion, with the top two rounds totalling 22, is James Raines.  Well done James.

Sunday Morning was the turn of the Scout Section.  9 archers competed against each other and we ended up with three archers sharing the top two rounds score of 26, and so went into a tense shoot-off.  After a tight final, congratulations go to James Redding for being this years Scout Archery Champion.

Running alongside the Young People’s competition is the Leaders/Adult Helper competition.  This years winner is Chris Vaughan, Scout Leader for Vulcan Troop – who scored a total of 26 with his best two rounds.  Well done Chris.

A big well done to all the archers, everybody was able to post a score, which is a great achievement.  We look forward to next years event.
